As a Developer Support Engineer in JFrog you will...
- Manage/resolve complex technical escalations of different services hosted by JFrog for on-premises/cloud environment customers (AWS, AZURE, GCP)
- Perform system administration [Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS)]
- Work with Scripting (Automation, Bash, Python); perform programming: NumPy, OpenCV, Keras, TensorFlow)/Git (version control)
- Use blockchain platforms (Ethereum Dapp), EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), Consensus protocols (PoW, PoS)
- Assist to prevent new issues
- Work with scalable networking technologies [Load Balancers/Firewalls, web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms), TCP, NAT Gateway, Route tables, HTML, DNS, HTTP response codes, Telnet, Transport layer security communication (SSL), HTTPS, Reverse proxy configuration (Nginx, F5, Apache HTTP]
- Work with standard IT security practices (encryption, certificates, key management, Common Vulnerabilities/Exposures (CVE), CVSS, Policies, Firewalls; suggest security enhancements to customers for robust system
- Collect/analyze logs/thread dumps from application server to troubleshoot issues/debug code to discover root causes of customers’ issues
- Develop internal tools
- Write code samples, tutorial, technical articles/user plugins in Groovy, Shell, Bash for easier for support teams to identify/resolve customer integration issues
- Work with sales team to develop/scale partnership growth
- Work with solution architects; assist customers in designing architecture of JFrog’s services [database (MYSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), storage (local filesystem/cloud storage)]
- Implement High availability for Artifactory with Zero-downtime deployment of artifacts
- Resolve technical issues for clients during proof of concept (POC) phases of JFrog’s services
- Assist customers in understanding/improved configurations
- Determine source of problems to narrow down to specific components while managing customers’ expectations for resolutions
- Manage multiple issues customers; collaborate across teams/technical product issues
- Leverage global resources to resolve customers’ issues
- Develop/lead workshops to help colleagues understand new technologies/guide colleagues to find solutions for customer issues related to technology
- Identify if product defect causes customers’ problems; file bug reports/design change requests; evaluate escalated, technically complex, mission-critical/politically hot customer issues
- Maintain ownership of issues until resolved/customer satisfied
- Work in complex Unix/Linux/Windows systems (from kernel to shell), system libraries, file systems, client-server protocols
- Debug authentication issues with technologies (OAuth, LDAP, SAML)
- Understand, configure, assist in resolving issues with different package manager clients (NPM, Docker, NuGet, Ruby gems, Debian, RPM, PyPi, Maven, Conan, CONDA, CRAN)
- Work with containerization/container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Create containers/debug existing containers
- Write simple/moderate queries/statements for different types of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo dB, Microsoft SQL, MariaDB, Oracle) to connect/store data, metadata of JFrog services
- Assist customers with issues related to CI servers (Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity) and integrate them with JFrog’s applications
- Optimize system performance by tuning JVM parameters/Tomcat properties to reduce issues related to heavy HTTP traffic
To be a Developer Support Engineer in JFrog you need...
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science plus 1 year experience.
- Experience to include system administration [Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS)]
- Working with Scripting (Automation, Bash, Python)
- Programming: NumPy, OpenCV, Keras, TensorFlow)/Git (version control)
- Using blockchain platforms (Ethereum Dapp), EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), Consensus protocols (PoW, PoS).
WHAT JFROG CAN OFFER…
- At JFrog, base salary is only one component of our compensation package.
- This position has a base salary range between $130,000 to $145,000. Base salary will be based on your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
- This is a telecommuting position with remote benefit from various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
- This position also includes an equity package of restricted stock units (RSU). In addition, JFrog employees are eligible to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
