  • Strong financial background with extensive experience measuring value of strategic initiatives across various functions (Supply Chain, Finance, Merchandising, IT, etc.)
  • 5 years of P&L ownership preferred
  • Experience implementing A/B testing methodologies
  • Comfortable analyzing complex datasets, interpreting trends, and communicating outputs to senior leadership
  • Proficiency with data and reporting platforms like Snowflake and Tableau and managing data using tools/coding languages such as SQL, Python, and Alteryx 

 

Job Summary

Responsible for leading strategic business development and collateral teams in development and implementation of initiatives to drive business growth and profitability consistent with overall business unit and company objectives.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Provides thought leadership and directs and participates in company-wide profitability improvement programs. Leads cross-functional teams in the analysis and corrective action of revenue growth, margin expansion, and cash improvement initiatives.
  • Directs the development of business and process analytics used for all strategic business process improvement initiatives.
  • Articulates business case for change, and proactively identifies, communicates, and resolves barriers preventing flawless and seamless execution.
  • Leads change management efforts to ensure seamless, flawless execution and engages support from senior leadership and field teams.
  • Partners with business units to develop detailed, comprehensive execution strategies and plans.
  • Develops and supports productive relationships with business partners, both at executive and field support levels.
  • Develops key industry partnerships to pursue growth opportunities.
  • Supports other areas including corporate strategy, acquisitions and integrations, divestitures, and investor relations activities.

Nature and Scope

  • Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.
  • Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.
  • May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
