What you will do:

The Bilingual Senior Manager of Workplace Operations leads the day-to-day management of The Bilingual Senior Manager of Workplace Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of Stryker facilities across Canada and Latin America, reporting directly to the Director of Workplace Operations (Americas). This critical role ensures proper facility coverage, with availability or on-call support 24/7 to meet business needs. As the primary point of contact for regional leadership, you will ensure buildings are safe, functional, sustainable, and equipped with amenities that align with organizational goals.

This role collaborates closely with Real Estate and Facilities (RE&F) teams to optimize the corporate real estate portfolio, enhance the customer experience, improve employee productivity and engagement, and manage costs to enable scalability and growth.

This is a hybrid position based in San Jose, CA, or the surrounding area. Regular weekly presence at the San Jose location is required, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time.

Territory: Canada and Latin America

  • Lead the Workplace Operations team across the region, overseeing facilities, infrastructure, engineering, maintenance, space utilization, and related projects.
  • Ensure FM services meet company objectives, RE&F strategy, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders to develop strategic space management plans for efficiency and agility.
  • Manage third-party providers for facilities-related services, including space planning, food services, janitorial, and more, while collaborating with Global FM to maintain strategic service provider relationships and ensure successful service delivery.
  • Identify and implement strategies to optimize facility and building service utilization.
  • Represent clients for RE&F projects, leading renovation, expansion, and move planning efforts.
  • Develop and track building budgets, including capital and operating expenses, and provide executive updates
  • Create and present initiatives and operational recommendations to senior leadership

What you need:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred; or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of equivalent experience will be considered, in addition to the requirement below”
  • 10 years’ progressive experience in Facilities Management, preferably in medical tech, life sciences, or related fields of which 4 years exp in a senior leadership role working with executive leadership
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Proven track record in partnering with service providers to deliver facilities management solutions, with experience in developing and presenting Business Cases and Financial Models (BCFM)
  • Experience with overseeing budgets and financial management- required
  • Strong knowledge of principles and practices of Facilities Management, Project Management, electrical and mechanical systems, construction, EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety), and all aspects of building operations
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications for creating presentations, KPI’s and metrics
  • Travel 30%

Preferred:

  • IFMA, CoreNet, BOMA, LEED, or relevant industry certifications

$112,800 - $239,900 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
