ABOUT THE ROLE

REPAY is looking for a Software Engineer with a focus on automation and batch processing to join our Clearing and Settlement team. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of processing for the major card brands (Mastercard and Visa, for example), issuing and acquiring banks, and the process merchants use to clear and settle transactions. Responsibilities of this individual will include supporting and developing batch processes and helping us modernize legacy systems. We're especially attracted to the candidates that have financial services experience and can provide subject matter expertise around the technology that supports processing, clearing, and settling card transactions. We're growing quickly, the team is fun and collaborative, and we've got a wide variety of technologies both old and new to work on.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Design, develop, and maintain payment processing systems using a stack that includes SQL Server, C#, PowerShell, and legacy technologies.

·       Implement and support complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions to handle large volumes of transaction data.

·       Automate administrative and maintenance tasks using scripts for improved efficiency and reliability.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between various systems and payment processing workflows.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to transaction processing, ensuring high availability and accuracy in payment settlements.

·       Enhance and support legacy systems developed in Microsoft Access, WinBatch, and VB, ensuring smooth coexistence with newer technologies.

·       Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, security, and performance.

·       Continuously monitor and optimize system performance to handle increasing transaction volumes and ensure compliance with industry standards.

·       Document technical specifications, system designs, and workflows to ensure clarity and ease of future maintenance and development.
