Job Title: Senior Performance Lead

Chief Operations Office is the heartbeat of the bank, where we reimagine banking operations and customer excellence.
We work across operational disciplines, including the financial crime lifecycle, which includes investigations, payment monitoring and customer due diligence.
With a strong foundation in place, our footprint in India also includes Business, Institutional and Market Operations to strengthen support for Business Banking and Institutional clients. Our Retail Operations team oversees customer experiences in both secured and unsecured product categories, managing the entire loan process from credit decisioning to settlement for CBA and Bankwest brands.
Our customer service team provides round-the-clock support through messaging channels, ensuring seamless client engagement. We are experts at crafting credit risk models and validating credit, AI and market models.
Impact & Contribution:
This role is critical to meeting Group-wide regulatory requirements for Change Management Risk Standard (CMRS). CMRS defines the minimum requirements to ensure change is delivered within the Group’s Change Management Risk Appetite and that changes do not introduce new or increased risk exposure. The role will partner with Operational Risk to drive practical adoption across Technology—owning the uplift of CMRS obligations and content and ensuring consistent implementation and evidence across initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ensure high-quality governance and status reporting by overseeing Risks, Issues, and Dependencies (RID), maintaining accurate and up-to-date information across tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Lead continuous improvement of delivery and risk culture by applying structured problem-solving techniques and promoting knowledge sharing of best practices across Business and Support units.
Partner with leadership to define business commitments, outcomes, and OKRs, ensuring alignment with broader Domain strategies and objectives.
Drive and implement change initiatives that enhance group capabilities, supporting enterprise transformation priorities.
Orchestrate and coordinate key change initiative interventions and events, including working group, listening sessions, solutioning, OCM planning and delivery execution.
Prepare and deliver governance artefacts, including OKR tracking, milestone reporting, and escalation packs; identify and drive actions arising from performance reviews.
Track workforce capability, providing insights to support resource planning and enable effective delivery outcomes.
Partner with Operational Risk teams to embed CMRS requirements, ensuring consistent adoption, uplift of controls, and evidence across all change initiatives.
Proactively identify delivery risks and control gaps, ensuring effective mitigation and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Drive planning and prioritisation activities, ensuring strategic objectives are translated into executable roadmaps across complex crews and domains.
Essential Skills:
15+ years’ experience in management consulting or similar roles, with strong exposure to strategy, transformation, and delivery
Proven experience working in large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Familiarity with enterprise transformation programs (e.g., Pace or similar frameworks) and a strong track record of driving continuous improvement and measurable business outcomes
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability, applying structured, consulting-led approaches to complex organisational and delivery challenges
Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, domains, squads, customers, and suppliers
Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and drive alignment across diverse teams
Proven ability to facilitate forums, workshops, and large-scale planning events (e.g., QBRs, Big Room Planning, performance forums)
Experience in organisational change management, including driving adoption of new ways of working and embedding transformation initiatives
Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable execution plans and ensure alignment across multiple delivery layers
Strong risk mindset, with the ability to proactively identify, assess, and manage current and emerging risks
Understanding of Change Management Risk practices (e.g., CMRS or equivalent), including risk identification, tracking, and mitigation
Experience managing Risks, Issues, and Dependencies (RID) and preparing governance artefacts and reports
Ability to partner with risk and compliance teams to embed standards into delivery practices
Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for delivery tracking and collaboration
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and large dataset management
Experience using dashboards and data analytics to generate actionable insights and support decision-making
Strong ability to develop clear, concise, and impactful reports and presentations for executive audiences (PowerPoint/Excel)
Data-driven mindset with the ability to monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree (Graduate) in any discipline from a recognised university
Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory
Additional certifications in areas such as Agile (Scrum, SAFe), Project/Program Management, or Change Management are advantageous
