The opportunity
Reporting to the Vice President, Group Functions Technology, the AVP of Group Functions Technology (GFT) – Risk and Legal will be responsible for shaping the IT strategy and vision for the Group Functions (GF) Financial Risk Management team and GF Legal team, as well as their associated business units including Government Relations and Investigative Services.
This role is accountable for formulating and driving global information services, technology strategies, management and implementations as well as providing support for day-to-day operations. This role is the single point of contact for technology services and has a clear mandate to identify opportunities to utilize technology to maximize productivity as well as efficiencies while supporting the evolving needs of the business and their clients across Canada, the United States, Japan, Hong Kong and the rest of Asia. This includes helping to develop the IS application strategy and its execution to meet goals within agreed targets and within budgets for GFT.
This role is accountable for effectively leading and managing large and complex IS application integrations and the coordination of technical infrastructure projects, ensuring that the communication of requirements and expectations are clear and projects are well governed.
This individual will be tasked with overseeing the information risk management and data protection program, monitoring the effectiveness of security risk management and third-party management functions while supporting stakeholders and senior leadership to drive their management analytics & automation for the business. The successful candidate will provide thought leadership to a scaling, data driven global company while enabling the team to advance their domain knowledge and technical skills.

Salary range is expected to be between
$123,400.00 CAD - $229,300.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact [email protected] for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
