SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with 5-7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PostgreSQL and MySQL architecture, performance tuning expertise, and the ability to handle production issues in collaboration with application teams. The candidate should also have a solid understanding of AWS cloud services, including RDS, Aurora, DMS, S3, IAM roles and policies, and DynamoDB, as well as experience working in PCI-compliant environments.
In addition to database administration, the Senior DBA will also contribute to development efforts by automating database processes using GitHub Actions and building CI/CD pipelines. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our database systems while driving automation and efficiency in database operations.
This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot production issues, guide application teams in designing new architectures, assist with database migrations and restructuring, and implement automation for database provisioning and lifecycle management.
