Onsite Materials Manager  

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Onsite Materials Manager located in

General Description:

The Onsite Materials Manager reports to the Projects team and is a key member of the Material Management team at Venture Global. The position will be responsible for laydown and warehousing activities, and report directly to the project Materials Manager.  The position is based in the Lake Charles/Cameron area, with travel required between the site and offsite laydown areas.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong understanding of the project supply chain flows into the site.
• Lead the day-to-day activities of the team managing the site warehouse/laydown areas and ensure that the required materials are available to meet the needs of construction
• Review Contractor and Sub-Contractor plans for receipt and storage of material and equipment
• Responsible for planning the warehouse/laydown utilization.
• Ensure all materials are entered into the inventory data base and are stored in compliance with manufacturer recommendations and the project preservation plan.
• Work with scheduling team to validate material sequencing to site.
• Build good working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Assist with disposition of unused items at the end of construction phase such as handover to operating unit, preparation for sale/auction, and scrapping

Qualifications:

Education and Certifications

• Education or Certification

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years industrial construction experience with at least 4 years in a leadership role – Power generation and LNG plant construction are preferred
• Experience working at a construction site in a supply chain related role

Skills:

• Excellent supervisory and communication skills with an established history of leading a team at a construction site.
• Experienced user of material management tracking software/RFID technology
