About the Role

• Lead and manage high-value strategic technology initiatives, including M&A.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery including planning, budgeting, execution, governance, and reporting.
• Engage Executive Committee sponsors on strategic priorities.
• Lead cross-functional teams across AIA Group and Local Business Units (LBUs) to deliver key initiatives.
• Manage the strategic planning, budgeting, and financial management.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, structuring, and driving portfolio of high-value strategic and operational initiatives in Group Technology.
  • Responsible for developing underlying initiatives’ objectives, execution plans & governance structure, whilst conducting periodic portfolio reviews, and reporting progress on a regular basis.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee risk, issue, and dependency management across initiatives.
  • Lead strategic planning including budgeting and investment priorities.
  • Responsible for integrating and engaging initiative executive sponsors, and execution teams, across group and LBUs, and external partners ensuring alignment to initiative goals.
  • Responsible for leading multiple cross-functional teams towards the delivery of initiatives’ objectives.
  • Responsible initiative communications, driving decisions through executive committees, sponsor & project teams.
  • Provide Change Management expertise and support strategic project and/or workstream leads.
  • Responsible for managing vendor partners involved, ensuring vendor selection, contracting negotiations, onboarding, and integration into projects.

Minimum Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or a related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) and/or Agile methodologies preferred
  • 20+ years of experience leading complex, large-scale strategic programs and transformation initiatives within international insurance and financial services environments
  • Proven track record in managing cross-functional, multi-geography teams, driving alignment and delivery across diverse business units and cultures
  • Extensive experience engaging senior leadership, including C-suite stakeholders, with the ability to influence decision-making and drive strategic outcomes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence, partner, and build trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of organizational complexity, including integrated processes, data, and technology landscapes, with the ability to navigate and deliver successfully in highly matrixed environments
