The Global Lending Ops Organizational Governance and Enablement manager will manage multiple functions through other managers. This function must have in-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas.

Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. Will be doing involved and diverse cross-discipline activities. In many cases will need to execute confidential tasks and work as a single source for these activities.  .

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direction-setting, execution of strategy, issue resolution and accountable delivery head for multiple programs.
  • Manage project and program level execution of deliverables for a functional area.
  • Provide strategic direction and feedback with respect to initiative or project creation, alignment to business goals, stakeholder management, and executive communications.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, organizations and business heads.
  • Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross functional macro level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management.
  • Identify and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business goals.
  • Direct the process with other departments if resources are being borrowed in order to ensure the project can be completed.
  • Assist program team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the program can be completed.
  • Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the project.
  • Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Direct the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
  • Evaluate subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Additional Job Description:

  • Partner in setting and executing on the organizations strategy, working independently and in many cases directly building communication and strategy decks.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure scope definitions meets business objectives.
  • Work with Sponsors to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business goals.
  • Ensure all areas of the organization are appropriately staffed for transformational strategy.
  • Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Direct the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
  • Escalate organizational risks to the Head of Governance and Program Management Managing Director, or other senior stakeholders when appropriate.
  • Apply comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
  • Exercise shared responsibility for budget, policy formulation and planning.
  • Drive adherence to established governance frameworks in partnership with Risk & Control Partners   
  • Evaluate subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions.
  • Interact with business stakeholders to manage escalations and improve operational processes
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years relevant experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
