With us, a Senior Project Lead - New Product Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d) is responsible for the transfer of new electron-optical developments from an R&D prototype/pilot into a product ready for Serial Production.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create project schedules/plans for New Production Introduction (NPI) phase (transfer from R&D to Production) by adhering to the timelines, key milestones for prototype readiness, as well as ramp to pilot and volume
  • Ensure product introduction with respective documentation, jigs, tools, & spare parts
  • Close cooperation with R&D during prototype phase to ensure smooth transition to operations
  • Early engagement in the product development process (PDP) and participation in R&D design reviews
  • Interface between different internal stakeholders, e.g., Research & Development, Configuration Management, Planning, Purchasing, Quality & Engineering, Manufacturing/Product Delivery as well as with suppliers on industrialization targets
  • Work together with our customer, prepare and present status reports, and take an active role in milestone reviews (development gates)
  • Analyze Bill of Material (BOM) with respect to sourcing decisions, collect & formulate change requests and executes change control processes including Non-Standard Requests (NSRs) or Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Drive cost, quality, and cycle time goals

Requirements:

  • Technical master's degree with at least 5 years work-experience, in a NPI environment preferably in a high-tech industry
  • Identifies bottlenecks and drives improvements as well as proven experience in improving efficiency and effectivity in technical production environment
  • Substantial experience in Project Management
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Fluency in English
