The Team You’ll Be Part Of / What We Do:
The Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) Release Manager is responsible for the successful deployment of all code delivered by FCC and their vendors, development and production environments as they relate to the provision of services, the development of customizations and hosting services by the vendor. The incumbent acts as Project Manager for the FCC UAT and production implementation phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
What You Will Be Doing:
Production and Release Manager
Ensures successful deployment of all code delivered by the Vendors to the Fidelity Clearing Canada development and production environments as they relate to the provision of services, the development of customizations and hosting services by the vendor to FCC
Ensures all Vendor SDLC deliverables (scope/release documents, test notes, etc) are received on a timely basis and meet standards as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) or as otherwise agreed between vendor and FCC.
Coordinates with appropriate FCC business units for each deliverable to (a) identify and schedule testing resources, (b) identify environmental set up requirements, (c) ensure successful completion of QA and UAT, (d) obtain sign off from business sponsors for acceptance to production environments, (e) ensure proper integration into production environments including deployment validation and authorization to the Vendor of acceptance, (f) ensure proper front office communication has been provided and (g) ensure back office training considerations are accounted for where required.
Creates, maintains and provides appropriate matrix to ensure all appropriate documentation is easily retrievable for FCC business units.
Maintains appropriate matrix libraries to ensure all appropriate documentation is stored and easily retrievable for Audit and reference purposes
Meets or exceeds all project quality and audit objectives for QA, UAT and Production implementation phases of the SDLC Cycle
Technical Support Management
Works with Governance manager to ensure proper change management protocols are in place prior to production deployments
Works with Governance manager to provide required documentation and visuals during audit cycles
Takes responsibility for special projects as assigned by the Manager or other senior management
Assist the support analysts with day-to-day inquiries as required
Ensures that all requests raised by clients and users are handled timely and appropriately.
Tracks, troubleshoots and resolves application related issues.
Evaluates client requirements and processes (e.g., enhancements or maintenance).
Ensures compliance of firm-wide policies during problem resolution.
Provides assistance and low-level training / demonstration for employees and clients.
Act as a liaison between the vendor and users, effectively communicating in both business and technical terms.
Interacts with clients, vendors, FCC employees and other Fidelity firm wide partners
Performs other duties as needed
Vendor Relationship Management
Plans, schedules and coordinates with all Vendors, and FCC business units to ensure a success SDLC
Coordinates the planning and scheduling of all upcoming deployments with the vendors Accounts and Service Delivery managers
Project Management
Acts as Project Manager for the FCC QA, UAT and Production implementation phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Liaises with FCC BAU and vendor development business analysts to plan and schedule delivery of fixes and custom deployments
Organizes and chairs meetings with appropriate FCC and Vendor resources as required to ensure QA and UAT problems are communicated and tracked to resolution
Keeps management informed on timely basis of any issues which might impact successful delivery of deployment item and escalates as required, to ensure deliverables are kept on schedule and delivered as expected
Client Experience
Establishes working relationships with appropriate FCC business units
Recommends and develops new processes and procedures as required to ensure superior service
Communicates with client for any items affecting the external client directly
Deliver stellar quality customer service interactions to our internal and external customers to exceed their expectations and create a positive experience.
Provide what was promised, dependably and accurately and in a timely manner.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
As the Release Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end release lifecycle, coordinate schedules, ensure documentation accuracy, maintain audit-ready records, and drive successful deployments. You will act as a key liaison between vendors, business stakeholders, and support teams.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Must have:
Minimum 3+ years software delivery experience utilizing SDLC methodologies in one or more roles as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, Developer or Quality Assurance lead
Solid desktop computer skills including MS office
Nice to have:
2+ years or recent experience with Broadridge front and back office solutions or similar experience.
Experience with brokerage applications (e.g., Dataphile, Arrow, IRESS)
Education:
College degree or equivalent work experience.
Computer Science degree is an asset.
Designations, Licenses, or Accreditations (if required):
Canadian Operations Course or equivalent work experience.
CSC (Canadian Securities Course) required or equivalent experience.
PMP (Project Management Professional) designation is an asset.

Knowledge of industry - Solid knowledge and working experience in brokerage business environment with a particular focus on post-trade, mid/back office applications.
