The Role: Senior Manager Data Management – Data & Insights

The Location: India Locations

The Impact: Your success will be contingent upon supporting, facilitate, owning and executing on the strategic vision for the data assets to support the Data & Insights business line strategy by driving collaboration across various business functions/divisions.

The Team: The role also involves working with vendors, high level assessment of their data offering, compare against other competitive providers, engage in setting up CARM agreements.

What’s in it for you: You will support the Reference Data Lead, Data Management for Data & Insights, focused on driving strategy and data initiatives and their deliverables for Data Insights Business line. As a member of Data Management, you will work to develop, implement, and champion Data & Insights initiatives involving data assets (across Companies & Securities foundational data), workflow and technology capabilities critical for product and customers.

Promote harmonized and scalable data solutions to attract synergies, cost savings and new business opportunities. Network and connect with the business segment leads and product managers in Industry Company Data (ICD), Global Intelligence & Analytics (GIA), Market Data & Valuations (MDV) and Distribution Solutions to evaluate and facilitate data needs for new product development and enhancements.

Domain Knowledge on the Companies and Securities datasets, projects in flight and roadmap items is important in this role in order to drive problems to the right solutions. Data Stewardship, Operations, Data Quality, Enterprise Data Network Team and Data Management Leads across other business lines are key collaborators in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a single point of contact for companies and securities foundational data needs to business and product stakeholders in Data & Insights
  • Prepare collaterals with relatable content for business stakeholders
  • Maintain a regular cadence of report out/summaries for data and business leadership
  • In collaboration with Client, Product, Sales, Technology and Data stakeholders, ensure the development of a clearly defined data strategy/initiatives fully aligned to meet business stakeholders and clients’ expectations.
  • Ensure deep understanding of client use-cases, workflows and associated products and support the rapid response and resolution of client concerns, inquiries, and commercial conversations.
  • Translate S&P Global Market Intelligence’s as well as Data & Insights strategy into specific actionable goals and targets for the Data organization, while articulating the value (the 'why')
  • Collaborate closely with operations and other data management teams to define specific data, quality, timeliness, and comprehensiveness needs, as well as associated data policies and procedures.
  • Promote active communication to all levels within the organization on the health of projects sponsored by the data organization or involving data in support of Data & Insights projects, including key progress updates to all stakeholders to ensure transparency, especially around risks, content quality gaps and successes.
  • Foster a people-first environment, while maintaining existing levels of engagement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of Enterprise Data Management, Product Management, Technology, or related field
  • Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple projects at the same time, should be flexible with working hours
  • Strong organizational management, business case development, and able to work across business teams to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to support major initiatives including development and execution
  • Strong written and verbal communications with an aptitude to present thoughts and ideas to leadership
  • Appropriate presentation skills with the ability to take on internal and external presentation responsibilities
  • High level of expertise in MS Excel, SQL, database concepts
  • Experience with full product lifecycle a plus
  • A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive in a team environment. Attentive to detail and quality oriented; ability to execute in a timely and accurate manner
