GENERAL SUMMARY (Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job)
Leads the plant team for a program, product or process launch. Responsible for all plant tasks, deliverables, and events via the Plant team. Works closely with the Program Manager and the rest of the Program Team (PT). Functions as Program Manager for internal plant projects and regional programs for those programs of limited scope and complexity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance)
- Leads a cross functional plant-based program team. This coordination will include the following team members: Tooling Engineer(s), Process Engineer(s), Quality Engineer(s), Operations Supervisor, and Manufacturing Engineer and Materials / Logistics analyst.
- Is responsible to lead his / her team to execute all plant tasks and deliverables for new product launches including tool release, purchase and installation and commission of all tooling and equipment, run at rate, hiring and training, all PPAP' s, supplier readiness reviews and meeting all customer requirements and MRDs.
- Represents his / her team as the lead manufacturing member of the Program Team. In this role he will interface with the Program Manager, Program Engineer, Program Buyer, Account Manager, and Cost Analyst.
- Meeting program timing requirements for the total program, but with special focus on plant tasks and deliverables.
- Gap analysis and roadmaps for plant financial targets including material, scrap, production cycle time, and capital investment. Responsible to meet all operational financial targets.
- Provides operations support for product builds, testing, process optimization, run at rate events, variation studies.
- Represents the operations in a professional way, maintains customer satisfaction, meets customer expectations for response time, quality products, delivery on time, communication, and quality systems.

- Ensures Housekeeping and Health & Safety Standards are maintained.
- Realizes the functions within the interior work guidelines and regulations, Code of conduct, follow Security rules and guidelines, comply with having a cleanliness and Hygienic general environment and follow other policies and procedures.
- Participates actively in continuous improvement tasks according to established plans. Not limited to other functions assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Implement Lean Savings and Continues improvement /cost savings methodologies and tools during the launch of new project, lead 3P events to ensure implementation of this methodology.
- Evaluate GAP analysis and roadmaps to achieve the plant financial goals for new products, including production control and logistics, scrap, labor, launch cost budget, margin and VCM.
- Ensure 6´s, safety, and environmental standards for new launch projects.
- Ensure LPA on time execution, including LPA´s from direct reporters.
- Lead cross functionally teams of engineering and all departments of the plant to achieve 0-0-100-100-30 launch metrics (0 Safety Incidents, 0 Costumer rejections, 100% on time delivery, 100% achievement of charter metrics through 30days of Launch).
- Not limited to other functions assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Ensure lessons learned are implemented and considered on all new launches
- All the responsibilities and follow the authority assigned according to the FTM-EHS-12 Roles, Responsibility and Authority Matrix from ISO 14001 /45001.
- Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATF 16949.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE (Required occupational qualifications and other requirements)
- EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive industry.
