The BA team works with Business Product Owners, Proxy Product Owners (PPO), Project Managers (PM), external clients, operational teams, developers, architects and provide the necessary expertise to elicit, analyse and document business requirements for technology initiatives. This includes capturing initial high-level requirements to support the development of business cases and detailed specifications management, within a project, to support systems development, testing and implementation.

As new features are added to our IT ecosystem, the BA team is also responsible for maintaining a clear and up to date functional map of each application, documenting functionalities that are core to each application and extensions that are specific to clients. Feature documentation includes Functional Specifications, Message Specifications, User stories, User guides, reports… for all related IT components (Matching Engine, Market Operations tools, Referential application, etc…).

The position requires a balance of functional expertise and technical background.

As Business Analyst in the team, you are accountable for the delivery of specification for large / complex features spanning across multiple applications.

• This involves pro-actively initiating communication with all stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the projects are understood and properly assessed, providing guidelines and initiating workshops with other stakeholders when required, driving the resolution of issues, reporting on progress and risks.
• You are also leveraging your broad functional and technical skills to contribute to the different internal and external deliverables the team is committed to.
• Outside of your team you interact with people at management / technical expert level: Software Factory management team, senior programmers and architects, Business Product Owners, PPOs, senior managers.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Good Exchange Trading & Finance related knowledge, more specifically on at least three of the following: Equities, ETF and Funds, Warrants and Certificates, Fixed Incomes, Financial Options and Futures, Commodities, Indices, Post Trade processing, Market Infrastructures, Regulation, Listing, Data Management
• Any additional Business knowledge would be a plus (Pre-Trade Risk Management, MiFID2, …)
• Any technical knowledge would be a plus (architecture, programming, network, protocols, recovery method, system failure handling, …)
• Good planning and estimating skills with a demonstrable track record in using these successfully in a high change, multi-discipline environment
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Fully fluent in English
