Successful candidate will be responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of data domains and data lineage by understanding and documenting application design in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology application teams. The role would focus on data governance implementation for a respective product and data domain, which includes registering critical data elements, authoritative data sources, data quality rules, and investigating any data quality issues  The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of attribute-level data lineage, critical data element decomposition, application performance and other measures to gain insight and drive data governance planning and data remediation.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for data domain implementation and foster communication between data domain leaders and technology
• Register critical data elements, authoritative data sources, and data lineage in coordination with the data domain and technology application teams
• Support data quality validation and data issue remediation from root cause analysis through remediation planning and provide input to business and Technology based on analysis of information
• Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommends solutions

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite and SQL skills
• Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills
• Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Experience in systems analysis and programming helpful.  Preferred languages include:  Python, Java, Visual Studio, Ab Initio, Data Lineage capture tools (i.e.: IBM Manta, Ab Initio MetaHub), or other development languages
