As a Paraprofessional, you will have the opportunity to change lives through education as you help, support, and work closely with teachers and educators to provide additional educational benefit for our students. And you will do meaningful work that makes a difference for our students as you:
Work with students to reinforce learning, understanding and skills related to the material and curriculum shared by the teacher.
Assist teachers in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests and abilities.
Support the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, lunch periods and field trips.
Serve as the chief source of information and help to substitute teachers.
Create a classroom and safe environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students and allows them to perform at their very best.
Support teachers as they guide our students through a variety of activities designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth that is needed for primary school success! Support teachers in the evaluation and celebration of student academic performance.
Explore individual needs and give side-by-side support to discover how each student best learns and recommend personalized solutions to the teachers for each students’ learning style and abilities.
Understand our proven curriculum as you support the implementation of our philosophy of education and guide the learning process and students toward the achievement of the curriculum goals using a variety of best practices and teaching strategies.
Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior, good character and social skills in the classroom, on the school campus, and throughout their lives.
Meet the qualifications that set you up for success
Holding a high school diploma or GED, a completed Paraprofessional Assessment, a current IVP level one fingerprint clearance card and passing a criminal history background check.
Creating positive, powerful energy that fuels our school spirit. Filling our campuses with exceptional students and diverse talent. Modeling our values, inspiring others and having fun. Solving matters with composure, integrity and compassion. Immersing yourself in significant connections with our students, parents, and fellow educators.
