About the Role

Oversight the credit risk, market risk and liquidity risk of all investment assets of AIA Life. Provide validation of investment decisions and related risk impact, detection of unintended risk exposures, support senior management with independent oversight of the overall risk across all AUM.

1)    Perform day-to-day monitoring on risk of outsourced investment portfolios to alert the team on any potential risk issues. 
2)    Closely monitor breach and error reports and ensure external managers explain the reason and resolve the problems within the specified time.
3)    Set up monitors and reports to track interest rate, credit, market and performance risks and identify the attributions and provide recommendation to manage risks.
4)    Review credit risks of the alternative credit exposures and follow up with the external managers on the management approach.
5)    Per regulatory requirements, fulfill the responsibilities of the principal to ensure that AIA AMC and external managers legally and compliantly perform investment management duties, including ensure the investment projects comply with regulatory requirements and check the use of funds aligns with the provisions of the project contract.
6)    Implement the risk management process and prepare effective monthly risk reports to introduce overall investment risk profile and risk attributions to relevant departments and management teams.
7)    Implement company-wide investment risk management, including credit risk, market risk management in SARMRA inspection, Investment Assets Five Category Classification and other ad-hoc works. 
8)    Monitor performance of externally managed portfolios, identifies areas of underperformance and suggest actions to address them with AIA AMC and external managers.
