The Global Engineering & technology (GET) organization operates as one coordinated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance & Reliability and Execution Systems activities. For the local GET department we are recruiting for a Technical Safety Engineer for the Supply Chain in Beerse, Belgium.

Are you a hands-on Technical Safety Engineer who has the drive to improve our different technical safety processes to make sure our assets are in line with the highest standards of technical safety? Join our Global Engineering & Technology (GET) organization at the Beerse site and help ensure lifesaving medicines reach patients safely and reliably.
About the role
As Technical Safety Engineer you will act as a process owner for multiple technical safety processes. These processes include functional safety, safety device calculations, ATEX, Machine safety and Process safety calculations. You will work closely together with our maintenance, EHS and engineering teams, making sure all technical safety standards are applied correctly in daily execution and projects.
Key responsibilities
Be the process and content knowledge owner of technical safety processes to be able to give advice on technical safety topics towards maintenance, engineering, operations and EHS.
Responsible for managing and optimizing third-party technical safety support. Be the single point of contact to improve on knowledge, follow up on workload, delivered quality and cost of our external supporting partners.
You will improve the technical safety aspects of all the assets at the Beerse site by initiating required end-to-end improvement projects and supporting engineering projects.
Be the spokesperson for internal and external regulatory safety audits.
Qualifications & skills
Preferred Master level Engineering degree, or equivalent through relevant experience.
The successful candidate will have experience, skills and track record of achievement in the following:
Strong interest and understanding in the field of technical safety for the pharmaceutical industry (drug product supply chain).
Ability to make decisions on technical safety related topics
Encourages and leads the identification and development of innovative engineering solutions
Motivated individual with strong communication skills across all levels of our organization
Foster collaboration across teams and departments, both local and global teams.
