We are seeking a highly talented, senior level software engineer to join our team and help complete our most complex tasks as we design and implement a new software system using an open and flexible cloud-based architecture that will integrate with several mission applications. You will leverage your experience with microservice and cloud-based technologies to assist with design tradeoffs and product roadmap refinement. As an Agile team member, you will develop new features and demo your work to the customer, listening to and integrating their feedback. You will coordinate with others on the team on topics such as architecture, information security, DevSecOps, requirements, testing and configuration management. You will actively participate in evaluating, scoping, and assigning work. You will ultimately be responsible for delivering on customer commitments.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate with containerized applications and state-of-the-art technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, etc.).
  • Guide product evolution, from backlog management to story creation.
  • Foster cross-functional team synergy, addressing challenges and mentoring.
  • Uphold DevSecOps and CI/CD principles, from testing to deployment automation.
  • Swiftly prototype using open-source SDKs and APIs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years in software development, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Proficient in microservice patterns and AWS suite (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
  • Agile methodology adept, versed in DevOps tools (GitLab, SonarQube, Helm, Harbor, ArgoCD).
  • Skilled in container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, etc.)
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages and frameworks (.NET, JavaScript, Java, or Python).
  • Quick learner, excellent communicator, and a collaborative team player.
  • U.S. Citizen with active SECRET clearance 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in government software development with data protection compliance for the Intelligence Community.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous microservice patterns (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Competence in designing data flows within distributed service environments.
  • DevSecOps expertise in public cloud settings.
  • TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$89,500-$188,000
