Tech@Lilly is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to serve as the technical lead within the Medicines Development (Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA), Global Scientific Communications (GSC) and Global Statistical Sciences (GSS)) portfolio. This is a hands-on-keyboard technical leadership role. You will design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure that underpins our statistical computing environments, AI/ML pipelines, regulatory technology platforms, and data engineering workloads. If you want to build and own the architecture of mission-critical cloud systems in a regulated, high-impact environment — and you’re looking for a role where your technical decisions directly shape how a Fortune 100 company operates — this is it.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will own the strategy, architecture, implementation, and operational excellence of our cloud infrastructure on AWS. You are the technical authority for infrastructure decisions across our portfolio — from compute and storage architecture to networking, security, multi-region replication, and disaster recovery. You will lead the modernization of on-premises to cloud-native implementations, design infrastructure for AI/automation workloads, and ensure all systems meet 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, GxP validation, and enterprise security requirements. This is not a management role — you will write Terraform, design Kubernetes configurations, build CI/CD pipelines, and solve hard infrastructure problems alongside your team.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$141,000 - $224,400Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
