Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Solutions Delivery Engineer to join our Infrastructure Solutions Delivery organization. The ISD organization's primary focus is on building, developing, and delivering infrastructure that effectively addresses business requirements and opportunities, while ensuring a robust, sustainable, and standardized platform for Operations to manage.
Team Objectives:
- Ensure all IT solutions follow agreed architectural methodologies.
- Manage business requirements, contain development costs, and reduce the time to delivery.
- Ensure the quality and security of IT Infrastructure platforms.
- Deploy stable and flexible IT infrastructure enabling easy maintenance and updates for future demand.
- Ensure infrastructure reliability by design, including disaster recovery capabilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing Enterprise Solutions for Mission Critical Applications within premise, colocation and public cloud.
Assist in the maintenance of the overall enterprise Database Strategy including platform management, buildout, migrations, and lifecycle management. (on-premise and cloud)
Assist in the overall Datacenter Strategy Roadmap and infrastructure lifecycle management.
Virtualization: Responsible for working with the ISD team on the development and implementation of our Virtualization and compute strategy.
Ensure effective monitoring solutions are delivered with any infrastructure provisioned.
Security: Implement security measures and best practices to protect systems and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Other Responsibilities:
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project teams, application developers, network engineers, and support staff, to deliver seamless IT solutions.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Assist in Operation Transition of newly built environments and solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT architecture/delivery, or business process transformation within a large, global organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Or 10+ years in lieu of a degree.
Proven track record of leading successful datacenter infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems
Excellent project management skills, with experience participating in multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Expected Salary Range
$147,000.00 - $248,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
