Position Overview:
You will support manufacturing operations by developing, improving, and sustaining welding processes and related production systems. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, production, and vendor partners to ensure efficient, safe, and high‑quality manufacturing outcomes. You will analyze processes, implement improvements, and help introduce new products and equipment into production. Your work will directly influence cost, quality, and operational performance. This role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on manufacturing efficiency and product quality through hands-on engineering and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and improve manual and automated welding processes to support production goals.
Analyze manufacturing methods, workflows, and standards to improve cost, safety, quality, and productivity.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean principles.
Define tooling, fixturing, and equipment requirements, and coordinate with vendors to procure and validate solutions.
Conduct labor studies and establish standards for operations, setup, and workstation layout.
Support new product introduction activities, including process development, tooling validation, and production readiness.
Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including design, assembly, and other engineering groups, to improve manufacturability.
Evaluate designs and provide recommendations to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve production efficiency.
Assist in development and management of departmental budgets, including capital equipment recommendations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Weld Technology, or a related field required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing engineering or similar role.
Experience working in manufacturing environments, with exposure to welding processes preferred.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and welding prints and specifications.
Experience with tooling design, fixturing, and manufacturing process development preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage projects and work independently with moderate supervision.
Experience with robotic welding or automated systems preferred.
Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, with some travel required (up to 20%)
