Primary Duties

• Rig material positioning and holding jig or clamping arrangements to insure proper dimensions
• Work with hand tools of all types
• Pull out dents and creases using pry bar and screws
• Utilize grinders to grind out imperfections
• Perform welding on sheet metal products to join/seal parts
• Follow standardized work rules

Skills/Abilities

• Basic math skills and reading skills
• Ability to use tools such as: scales, squares, fixed and adjustable gauges
• Ability to follow directions and to work from drawings, templates, patterns, jigs, hand grinders, drill presses, welding equipment
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to communicate well with others

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to temperature extremes, noise levels >80 db, vibration, fumes, dust, mists, and gases
• Occasional exposure to humid/arid conditions, cramped quarters, mechanical hazards, molving objects, solvents, material handling equipment, allergens, and insect bites

Physical Demands

• Must have the ability to speak and hear clearly
• Must be able to see well including depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
• Requires continuous or near continuous standing and balancing.
• Requires frequent (4 or more hours per day): walking, stooping, and finger movement
• Occasional carrying (25-50 lbs), sitting, lifting (max 50 lbs), climbing, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching (overhead and to the side) may be required

Expected Hours of Work

8 hour shifts M-F with weekend and daily overtime hours as required for production
