Job Summary

Summary

The Investor Relations Director reports to the Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations and will be responsible for supporting investor relations activities with some exposure to supporting M&A. These duties include promoting an accurate understanding of the Company’s investment thesis and value creation potential among financial stakeholders, managing shareholder engagement, and supporting the quarterly earnings cycle.  The position will require clear and regular public communication, in verbal and written form, that conforms to defined disclosure parameters. 

Position Responsibilities:

Investor Relations:

  • Manage IR earnings preparation process, including: work with teammates to collect relevant data, develop themes with executive leadership, prepare Q&A, draft and edit scripts, prepare earnings presentations, Board of Director materials and other preparation materials
  • Develop and manage investor targeting programs, including: screen for high potential shareholders, develop outreach and contact plan, develop background information on key investment decisions, manage contact database to prepare executives for meetings
  • Plan and manage all aspects of investor events, including: conferences, investor and analyst days, trade show meetings, non-deal roadshows, individual and group investor visits, and post-earnings calls.
  • Coordinate travel logistics and meetings for investor events
  • Help manage CEO and CFO Investor calendar of  events throughout the year ensuring their time is effectively managed among conferences, road shows and other investor events
  • Attend investor meetings and conferences to support our team at those events
  • Track and report on relevant peer and industry trends and disclosures in news, earnings releases and research reports
  • Support the company’s ESG initiatives and lead preparation of the company’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report
  • Communicate regularly with investors and analysts to coordinate meetings and events and respond to inquiries
  • Draft and maintain the company’s investor facing presentations and related materials
  • Manage IR press release distribution and other mass investor communications
  • Help to define, execute and monitor IR plan with a strategic view toward achieving IR objectives.  Includes measurement and reporting of results against targets.
  • Identify and implement IR best practices and process improvements
  • Support relationships with outside IR service providers
  • Other duties as assigned

Corporate Development:

  • Track and manage pipeline of M&A opportunities
  • Facilitate internal reviews and evaluations of opportunities including the development of presentation materials
  • Research and summarize data for potential acquisition targets
  • Provide project management support for transaction processes from sourcing through deal execution
  • Conduct market research and support third party market research projects
  • Attend industry conferences and events
  • Support relationships with key investment banks
  • Other duties as assigned

Special Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • 10% travel within the Continental U.S.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of directly related experience
  • Understanding of financial reporting, including Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statements
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, with the ability to “think on one’s feet” in high pressure situations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Operating System and Office Suite

The salary range for this role is:

$203,704 - $288,750
