What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, and optimize data architectures and pipelines to support BCAA’s analytics initiatives, ensuring efficient data flow and data quality across various sources.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, from Data Science to Information Governance, to identify and implement data solutions that solve business problems and improve decision-making.

  • Lead data integration efforts, ensuring consistent and reliable data frameworks that support advanced analytics and machine learning projects.

  • Contribute to the evolution of BCAA’s Data Lake, enabling new capabilities for our analytics community and supporting self-serve analytics.

  • Act as a consultant and expert for data architecture, deploying and maintaining systems to empower downstream analytics.

  • Champion data governance and security best practices, promoting the democratization of analytics and breaking down data silos across the organization.

  • Document project assumptions, requirements, and methodologies, facilitating knowledge sharing and supporting a culture of continuous learning.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Five years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with proficiency in ETL processes, data warehousing, and data pipeline development.

  • Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and NoSQL, along with expertise in AWS cloud services.

  • Proven experience with BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, and familiarity with machine learning models and data science.

  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing data engineering practices and fostering a data-centric culture.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience managing large datasets across all stages of the data lifecycle.

The salary range for this position is $107,129.64 to $133,912.08 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
