What You Will Do:


Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant to support our Energy Efficiency/Electrification programs (multiple locations available) with experience in the energy industry. This position requires experience with developing and delivering Energy Efficiency (EE), electrification and/or decarbonization solutions as well as team and partner management of various functional groups (internal and external), client, and stakeholders. This individual will also work with these functional groups to drive market transformation and adoption within our Energy Efficiency/Electrification programs. The Senior Consultant will support the implementation of energy efficiency rebate programs for our state and local government clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist national/regional market transformation strategy to drive adoption of EE, electrification and/or decarbonization measures within the residential sector.
  • Support the development and shaping of energy efficiency, electrification and/or decarbonization opportunities in collaboration with the market teams to meet bookings goals.
  • Support the strategy, design, and implementation of – energy efficiency, electrification and/or decarbonization solutions among others.
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external meetings with internal teams, clients, partners, and diverse stakeholders (all levels including leadership).
  • Provide feedback to program leadership to ensure solution aligns with client program goals, and client needs/overall business objectives.
  • Develop, manage and foster relationships with subcontractors, community-based organization and other vendors.
  • Support implementation efforts, budgeting, resource allocation and participates in quality solution reviews on program design, workplans, requirements as well as make overall recommendations throughout the solution life cycle.
  • Provide feedback and input into future solution needs and enhancements.
  • Train teams on implementation best practices for specific solutions.

What You Will Need:

  • Due to nature of client engagements, must either be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline AND THREE (3)+ years of professional experience working in the energy industry and or state and local government energy program; Or Associate's degree AND 5+ years of professional experience working in the energy industry and or state and local government energy program. Total work experience must include program management and solution development experience for complex solutions such as energy efficiency, electrification, decarbonization.
  • Solid understanding of energy efficiency measures for residential homes and multi-family housing
  • Experience in multi-channel delivery of energy efficiency programs (upstream, downstream, midstream, point of sale, etc.)
  • Knowledge of residential home energy audit certifications such as; ASHRAE, BPI 2400, RESNET, etc.
  • A strong understanding of energy efficiency programs and measures
  • Support team lead with client communications and manage developer/client interactions
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to team members on project development and client management skills
  • Startup mentality, resourceful and self-motivated
  • Ability to coordinate and engage diverse program stakeholders both internal and external
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, creative problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment .
  • Must have a passion for customer satisfaction and have the ability to deliver on customer’s needs and expectations while meeting Guidehouse objectives.
  • Ability to travel including overnight travel, depending on client or project needs
  • Ability to work onsite in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Preference will be given to candidates within reasonable driving distance of a Guidehouse office in FL, TX or CO.
  • Management consulting experience focused on utilities, energy, or energy efficiency programs
  • Knowledge of economic analysis in developing business cases for businesses to implement energy efficiency measures
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment across multiple business units and stakeholders

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
