Are you an experienced Warehousing professional looking for a new challenge? Reporting to the CGTM Warehousing Supervisor, the Warehouse Technician provides comprehensive field materials management and logistics services to both operations and projects across Enbridge Gas Transmission Canada Westcoast Pipeline system.  This position is based in the Prince George warehouse and will require travel to support operations in North and South Transmission regions, particularly Ft. St. John warehouse.

Important Note: This role is considered safety sensitive, and as such, you may be required to undergo various background screenings. This may include but is not limited to a driving record abstract, criminal check, a company sponsored medical and drug testing.
 

What you will do:
 

Per Warehouse Technician Progression or Red Seal Parts & Warehousing Journey Person, the Warehouse Technician’s roles, accountabilities, and behaviors include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Shipping & receiving

  • Goods issuance and material transfer

  • Transactional activity and support for repairs, recertifications, and preservation of assets

  • Relevant computer processes

  • Proficiency within relevant computer systems

  • Efficiently sources and procures materials and services as required or directed.

  • Participation in physical inventory counts & cycle counts per standard governance.

  • Participation in operations and maintenance materials coordination

  • Participation in capital project materials coordination

  • Provides support to other functional areas (customers) via materials-related actions as directed by warehousing team lead.

  • Highly responsive to changing requirements and priorities as it relates to Materials Management and Logistics tasks, especially relating to customer needs.

  • Safely operates materials handling equipment and tools, including multi-direction forklift for narrow aisle, overhead crane, and 5.5 ton cap. forklift fitted with pipe clamp.

Who you are:
You have the following qualifications and skills:

Required: 

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma.

  • 5 -10 years’ work experience

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Preference given to relevant certification or demonstrated equivalent experience in MML or industrial warehousing.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated high standards of quality control and document management.

  • Demonstrated high standards of time management and work efficiency; holds suppliers, service providers and contractors accountable for the same

  • Demonstrated high standards of work and business ethics, and respectful workplace.

  • Demonstrated high standards of business process self-discipline.

  • Working knowledge of applicable materials standards for regulated gas pipelines, especially CSA Z662 / Z245.1 and applicable ASME, API, MSS, ANSI materials standards

  • Working knowledge and vocabulary pertaining to gas pipeline materials and components

  • Knowledge of compressor station related materials and components, especially gas generator turbines and auxiliary facilities

  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office, as well as ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud or Maximo.

  • Hoisting and rigging experience, including overhead bridge cranes

  • Works safely and efficiently alone and self-directed as well as within a team

  • Communicate skillfully and manage many tasks effectively and with appropriate priority levels.

  • Assist warehousing team lead as directed in developing successful programs or processes to improve service to internal customers.
