📝 WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Process Engineer in our manufacturing team at P&G, you will play a vital role in optimizing production processes for our renowned brands. Your responsibilities will cover reliability, quality, safety of our equipment and processes in one of the 2 organizations within Mechelen Cluster: Production (Making, Packing) or Distribution Center.

 

Some of your key responsibilities may include to:

  •  Analyze and develop production processes to enhance efficiency

  • Design, implement, and improve production machines and systems

  • Conduct product and plant testing to ensure quality standards

  • Lead technical projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and downtime

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical experts to identify and solve process inefficiencies

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and standards for equipment reliability

  • Coach and train team members in problem-solving and process optimization

  • Manage start-up and validation of new production formats and recipes

  • Establish methods for addressing technical challenges and improve supply chain operations

Job Qualifications

🧩 THIS IS A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, Automation, or related fields) * or will have by the time your join
  • Recent graduate up to 5 years after graduation
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Solution oriented and customer oriented with passion for continuous improvement
  • Accountable, punctual and proactive
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities, with a capacity to work effectively in diverse teams.
  • Fast learner of new systems and keen to explore new system functionalities
  • Interest in automation (ASRS warehouse, conveying systems, auto-loading equipment) and civil engineering work
  • Interest and passion for a career in manufacturing and engineering and desire to grow into managerial roles

  • Proficiency in Dutch

  • Relevant internships or experience in manufacturing or engineering environments

  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems

Mechelen Cluster consists out of following organizations:​​​​

Production - Making: This is the department that produces our products based on the recipes we get from Research & Development. Your priority would be flexibility while delivering a high-quality product on time. As you do this, you will see opportunities for continuous improvement. We are hoping that you will help us eliminate any loss in the various production stages. This includes crafting any learning programs for operators and team leaders, helping others to develop their skills as we also work to simplify the process and standardize the work.

Production - Packing: Here you would get our products into their final packaging and set up in pallets. Your team would have three priorities - safety, quality, and productivity. You will need to inform us of any performance loss, while identifying any key projects that help us achieve the performance targets of the packing line. This includes working on the installation and start up of new equipment, as well as systematizing tools for maintenance production management.

Distribution Center: Our mission is to load and unload all trucks on time in the most cost-efficient way with safety and quality as our first priorities. Next to that, you will be responsible for the daily perfect execution and delivery of our orders. You will build strong and sustainable relationships you will leverage to accelerate our business through regular results reviews and action planning.  You will be proposing and leading improvement projects on your job scope in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and your external partners.
