We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Advisor of Executive Reporting & Analytics. This role is pivotal in producing and enhancing enterprise financial and operating reports through advanced analysis and reporting for Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will excel in cross-divisional collaboration to ensure reporting solutions measure comprehensive financial performance, operational effectiveness, and deliver business insights to drive improved performance. Additionally, this position supports the development of the Enterprise Strategic Plan and monitors performance against the plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Transformational Leadership: Collaborate with the CFO and SVP FP&A to transform the Finance & Accounting department. Develop strategic alignment, standardization, processes, and rebuild systems to support a high-performing finance organization.
Reporting Coordination: Lead efforts to provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports of ALSAC operations. Ensure timely and accurate inputs from all sources, validate data, and work with divisional SMEs to identify trends in donor acquisition, cultivation, retention, and financial performance.
Data Analysis: Utilize expertise to review, analyze, model, and interpret internal and external data on Development programs, industries, and the donor/volunteer base. Aggregate data from multiple enterprise resources for comprehensive analysis and decision-making.
Communication: Present complex operational performance data on fundraising initiatives to senior leadership. Provide guidance and training on interpreting analytics, and prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations.
Strategic Planning: Play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing companywide initiatives and processes, including strategic planning, annual budgeting, and goal setting. Produce business updates for senior executives and the Board of Directors.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes and controls to support external and management financial reporting.
Financial Improvement: Identify financial improvements, analyze cost structures, and evaluate business opportunities and investments to scale for future growth and enhance donor experience.
Reporting Standards: Develop and enforce reporting standards and practices. Provide guidance on reporting methods and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards.
Systems Development: Act as a liaison to facilitate the creation of business systems. Provide inputs for the design, development, and implementation of databases, business systems, and other applications for performance reporting and analytics.
Ad Hoc Research: Conduct research on emerging competitive practices in philanthropy, business, and corporate operations. Identify critical trends and provide insights for the ALSAC Enterprise.
Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of financial measurements and analysis, data analysis, and strategic modeling.
Deep experience with statistical, financial, and economic data analysis, including interpretation of financial documents and operational data.
Advanced knowledge of accounting and finance theory, with proficiency in GAAP and complex financial analyses.
Experience communicating with C-Suite Officers and understanding business systems interactions.
Strong interpersonal skills to build strategic partnerships and lead multifunctional teams in a data-driven environment.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and accounting systems.
Familiarity with resolving customer and donor issues.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to present persuasively and clearly on abstract problems.
Ability to train others on complex modeling and value concepts.
Strategic thinking and direction based on business and financial trends.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Management, or Accounting plus 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and operations modeling. MBA or Technical Master’s Degree required.
