The Role - Senior Director, Software Development

As a Senior technology leader with a contagious passion for your work, you will set the Technical direction for your product, all the while taking into consideration the product and technology team’s input and aspirations.

You will hire, mentor, and coach talented leaders. You will ensure that everyone feels included, that priorities and goals are well understood at all times, and that everyone acts with a sense of purpose and ownership. You will also support the career growth and professional development of your team. You will also maintain and manage vendor agreements for contractors within your teams. 

You will partner closely with Product Leadership and go to market Leads to ensure steady progress through our roadmap, to remove blockers, and to reinforce a shared understanding of the company goals and product vision.

Job Overview:
Provides strategic leadership to multiple directors and managers across the broader software development engineering family, including those in software development, cloud/systems development, DevOps, and QA & testing.  
Develops vision and strategy in alignment with company-wide strategy and operations or best-in-class new products and software enhancements bringing IQVIA’s organizational goals to fruition.

Essential Functions

  • Provides strategic leadership to multiple directors and managers across the broader software development engineering family, including those in software development, cloud/systems development, DevOps, and QA & testing.
  • Develops vision and strategy in alignment with company-wide strategy and operations or best-in-class new products and software enhancements bringing IQVIA’s organizational goals to fruition.
  • Oversees and directs the development of corporate-wide plans with direct impact on company revenue, expense, and growth.
  • Negotiates with and influences the decision-making of senior internal and external executives and decision-makers.
  • Inspires group leaders and directors to build and develop talent to meet long-term business objectives and strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience with Digital Media Technology
  • 15+ years of experience leading High-performance Software Development teams
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $176,300.00 - $327,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
