Job Summary

The Senior Specialist, Benefits & Wellness supports the administration, coordination, and ongoing management of employee benefits and wellness programs. This role serves as a key resource for employees and internal stakeholders by providing guidance on benefit plans, eligibility, enrollments, and related processes while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and company policies.

The Senior Specialist partners with benefits vendors, third-party administrators, payroll, and Human Resources teams to maintain accurate benefits data, resolve employee inquiries, and support the delivery of a positive employee benefits experience.

Location: Hybrid in Dallas, TX; Boca Raton, FL; San Diego, CA; or Atlanta, GA

Job Responsibilities

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and wellness plans
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits eligibility, enrollments, life events, payroll deductions, and plan provisions
  • Support employee benefit enrollment activities and ongoing benefit changes
  • Ensure benefits transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner

Data Management & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate employee benefits data within HRIS and benefits administration systems
  • Audit and validate data between internal systems and third-party vendors to ensure data integrity
  • Research, identify, and resolve data discrepancies and enrollment issues
  • Ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations, company policies, and documentation requirements

Vendor & Employee Support

  • Partner with benefits carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve employee and system issues
  • Escalate and monitor benefit-related concerns through resolution
  • Maintain benefits communications, forms, reports, and plan documentation
  • Support benefits projects, annual enrollment activities, and program enhancements

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare benefit-related reports and audits as needed
  • Monitor benefit trends and identify opportunities to improve processes and employee experience
  • Assist with reporting and data requests for Human Resources and leadership teams

Qualifications

Education & Years of Experience

  • Associate's Degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience OR
  • High School Diploma/GED and 4–7 years of relevant experience

Required Experience

  • Experience supporting employee benefits administration in a corporate environment
  • Experience responding to employee benefit inquiries and resolving benefit-related issues
  • Experience maintaining employee data within HRIS, benefits, or payroll systems
  • Experience working with benefits vendors, carriers, or third-party administrators
  • Experience auditing data and resolving discrepancies

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with health and welfare, wellness, retirement, or leave administration programs
  • Experience supporting annual enrollment processes
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, benefits administration systems, or payroll systems
  • Professional certification such as CEBS, SHRM, or related HR certification

    Pay Rate

    $61,500 - $73,000 Salary

    Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
