Job Description

As a Machine Learning Engineer in Bioinformatics you will:

• collaborate with a team of software engineers, machine learning experts and bioinformaticians
• develop new solutions with real-world impact that help scientists understand disease and invent treatment

What should you know / have:

• Current MSc or PhD student
• Strong programming skills
• Strong knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with UNIX systems and bash scripting
• Machine learning experience (Scikit-learn, pytorch)
• we will be happy if you know some of these:
  • data visualization (Matplotlib, Plotly)
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • basic statistics (R language)
  • Docker
  • backend development in Python (Flask, Django)
  • frontend development (HTML, JavaScript)

What will you do / learn:

• leverage cutting-edge computing resources (AWS, internal high-performance cluster) for executing computational tools on big biological datasets
• contribute to real-world applications of state-of-the-art technologies (machine learning, deep learning, NLP) on biological problems
• meet motivated and technically-skilled colleagues who will be happy to coach you on different topics from the industry
• establish relationships with scientists from our different laboratories around the World, with opportunities for short-term company visit abroad as part of your future career in our company.
