Job Description

The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle is now hiring an Admissions Coordinator at the Daytona Beach Campus. The Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for providing families calling the University phone line with the best experience possible, by providing the highest level of customer service. This position is the supervisor for about 10 student employees who answer the University phone line. This includes hiring, firing when necessary, and training the students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the phone room students. This includes hiring, firing when necessary, and training the students.
  • Reaching out to students who the Admissions Specialists need more information from before we can continue with their application.
  • Overseeing the printing and mailing of transfer student acceptances, any letters that need to go to a student, and the mailing of counselor packets to high school counselors.
  • Reaching out to prospective students that submitted an RFI through the website and following up with them with more information, and getting them to fill out the application.
  • Using our partner vendor Capture to help the counselors know what students they should be reaching out to.
  • Helping the Director of Admissions confirm guests for Open House, Preview Day’s, Regional Admissions Presentations, and Accepted Student Receptions. This includes outreach via text messages, emails, and phone calls.
  • Assisting the counselors with reading applications during travel season.
  • Assisting the Director of Admissions with call projects for prospective and admitted students.

This position does not include travel outside of regular business hours. There might be a day trip to a local high school, but nothing out of the state of Florida, and past regular business hours.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of work-related experience (preferably in customer service)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with student employees
