Southwestern Medical Clinic, Niles, is seeking a compassionate full-time Pediatrician to join our dedicated team of providers. This is an employed position with two-year guaranteed salary – plus the opportunity to earn productivity bonuses!

Expected volume of 20-40 patients per day once established. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday 8:00am - 2:00pm Epic electronic health records. Point-of-Care testing available onsite.

Essential Functions
  • Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
  • Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
  • Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
  • Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
  • Evaluates patients''/ parents':/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
  • Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
  • Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient / family advocate.
  • Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development / application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
  • Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.

  • LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
  • LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days recommended
