The Cybersecurity Presales Business Manager manages the development and implementation of the presale process for Motorola’s solutions. The position is for cybersecurity presales support within the Software Enterprise organization. This individual and team will be responsible for all tools, templates, and processes for all cybersecurity solutions that serve our public safety customers including Emergency Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, Land Mobile Radio, and Enterprise environments. Ownership of these processes and tools allows for a more consistent approach throughout software presales creating better alignment between all key work partners involved including sales, finance, deployment and a more consistent go-to-market approach for sales and our customers.
The primary job functions for this role include:
Coordinate departmental and cross-functional teams, focused on generating and delivering accurate and timely proposals
Manage projects from identification of the presale opportunity and proposal inception to transition of the project to the post-sale team
Working with the other business groups, these key individuals are responsible for identifying upcoming opportunities, evaluating requirements, identifying specific statements of work, and ensuring the proposed customer solution will be implemented with the best possible strategy
Own and Maintain Proposal Templates for all cybersecurity solutions
Own and Maintain tools including configurators, quoting forms for all cybersecurity solutions, including the costing, part numbers, and pricing
Own and Maintain the pre-to-post sales templates and process
Have a financial understanding of list price, costs, gross margin and how they are derived
Develop and Implement the show pricing plan with Sales, with Motorola’s sales, revenue and margin goals in mind
Work with Product and Offer Management on new offers and alterations to current offers to understand needs and provide feedback
Act as a general liaison between Sales and Deployment teams, as necessary
May assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities
Bachelor’s Degree is required. Preferred emphasis in Engineering or MBA
4+ years experience in one of the following: Sales, Engineering, or Project Management
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
Comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences
Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills
Familiarity with Cybersecurity Services is preferred
Proficiency in applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google email and web applications
Take ownership of projects to drive multiple people to meet project deadlines
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo
Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset
Ability to travel 25% (domestic only)
