The Role:
The Senior Material Support is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, performing regular cycle counts, and supporting warehouse operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in SAP, and the ability to ensure materials are properly tracked, stored, and distributed.
Core Responsibilities:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and company policies
Manage freight invoices and ERP/SAP transactions, including coding, approvals, and reporting
Support production planning, shipping, and receiving activities, including daily order processing, export documentation, and cycle counts
Coordinate with vendors, customer service, and other locations to resolve issues and ensure timely material flow
Lead or participate in Lean/5S initiatives, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement projects
Troubleshoot and problem-solve to maintain efficiency and meet customer expectations
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to track materials and project progress
Assist with physical inventories and contribute to process improvements that drive efficiency and cost savings
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, logistics, freight, or similar role
Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack)
Experience with an ERP system, SAP preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices
Experience with conducting inventory audits and implementing process improvements
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
Walk, write, and type frequently.
Lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on a frequent basis.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Work indoors and outdoors with potential exposure to temperatures from 0°F to 110°F.
Work in environments requiring hearing protection due to noise.
May be exposed to dust, dirt, and varying shop/warehouse conditions.
Perform tasks on concrete and other industrial work surfaces.
Operate a computer and communicate via telephone.

The estimated pay range for this position is $24/hr.. to $26/hr. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
