Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Systems & Performance Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain high-performance enterprise applications and middleware platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in application performance, middleware administration, automation, and cloud-native technologies, ensuring reliable and scalable systems across development, staging, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize system and application performance across middleware, web, and cloud environments.

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, deployment, and testing processes.

  • Administer, configure, and optimize middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss) and support enterprise-grade applications.

  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, high availability, and automated recovery.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.

  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or AppDynamics.

  • Lead performance tuning efforts, including JVM optimization, thread and memory management, and load balancing.

  • Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across middleware, cloud, and container environments.

  • Mentor junior engineers and document processes, runbooks, and architecture designs.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in middleware administration, application performance, or system reliability engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of middleware platforms: WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss, or similar.

  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, OCI, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).

  • Expertise in containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).

  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Shell, Python, WLST, Ansible, Jenkins).

  • Experience with performance monitoring, tuning, and observability tools.

  • Familiarity with high availability, clustering, and load balancing concepts.

  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, OCI) or middleware administration (Oracle WebLogic).

  • Experience with microservices architectures and API integrations.
