AutoStore – moving things forward.

The Role:

We are looking for a hands-on IT Portfolio and Project Manager to join our team. This is a role that combines portfolio oversight with practical delivery. You will make sure that the IT projects we have agreed to move forward on track, on time, and with the right level of visibility. You will also personally lead selected projects from the first idea through to go-live.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver the systems and solutions that keep AutoStore moving. If you want real ownership of the day-to-day details and enjoy keeping many things moving at once, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the IT project portfolio, ensuring all initiatives are visible, prioritized, and aligned with business goals. Track delivery across the portfolio and make sure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Manage and run selected IT sponsored projects from start to finish across the organization.

  • Inform IT leadership regarding project capacity, costs, and risks. Ensure that leadership makes data driven decisions and adjusts correctly when priorities need to be changed or work needs to be put on hold.

  • Evaluate our current project management process, identify ways of improving and enable the team to improve their process over time. Methods should include methods, models, tools, and follow up.

  • Help build a practical, open, and collaborative project culture across the organization.

  • Determine when to involve vendors and to what extent. When engaging, create clear work packages/timelines and make sure they deliver satisfactory results.

  • Support colleagues who are leading smaller internal projects by acting as a resource and sparring partner.

  • Apply proven frameworks and methods to reduce unnecessary work and improve how our digital solutions operate.

Key Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant IT experience across operations, systems, and delivery environments

  • Demonstrated experience driving IT projects and initiatives end to end

  • Exposure to portfolio level oversight (prioritization, cost, risk, stakeholder reporting), even if not in a formally titled portfolio role

  • Should have a broad understanding of modern IT. Must be comfortable joining technical discussions, asking the right questions, and holding partners accountable for delivery.

  • Experience working with external consultants, writing work orders, and keeping track of project costs.

  • The ability to explain complex topics in a clear and simple way to people at all levels of the organization.

 Mindset and Character:

  • Good situational awareness. You can read a room, adjust your approach, and work well with different types of people and teams.

  • Low ego and team focused. You care more about real results than following a rigid process.

  • Calm and decisive. You are comfortable taking the lead and making decisions even when things are uncertain or moving fast.

  • A good overview of how systems connect. You understand that a change in one place can affect the whole organization.

We Offer:

  • A creative, safe, and solid workplace in a business experiencing tremendous growth – Norway's first unicorn company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange

  • A company culture where we recognize and applaud everyone's contributions in making decisions

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package including a good pension and insurance scheme, paid exercise time and paid voluntary time.

This role is based in Nedre Vats, Stavanger, or Oslo Norway.

The deadline to apply for this role is 30 June 2026.
