Airbnb was born in 2007 when two Hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 4 million Hosts who have welcomed more than 1 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, Hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.
The Community You Will Join:
Our Hosting organization exists to bring a wider array of diverse Hosts into the Airbnb Community, support their success, earn their trust, and ensure their safety and security. As the world emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, Airbnb aspires to lead the travel industry with an entirely new form of community-powered travel, where creatively-led design is at the core of our offering. We know that our global community of hosts is one of Airbnb’s most precious assets and we are very intentional on how we nurture the common identity of being an Airbnb Host.
The Difference You Will Make:
The Airbnb North America team is looking for a Senior Community Growth Manager to support the growth and expansion of our Co-host marketplace. Co-hosting allows individuals/entrepreneurs to manage listings on behalf of our Hosts who don't have time or expertise to host. Co-host activities include responding to guests, preparing listings for stays, supporting guest needs, and general management of hosting activities.
In this role, you will be part of an inaugural team within our Business organization. This role comes with hybrid program operations and scaled relationship management responsibilities. This role carries revenue and business performance goals.
You will be responsible for designing playbooks, while adapting central frameworks to capture local market dynamics that will shape future iterations of our community programs. You will partner with our central commercial teams, community teams, sales operations and other cross functional partners to pilot new projects, tactics and/or initiatives that can be scaled into broader cross-functional programs.
You will analyze program performance and insights to craft strategic plans to ensure the needs of our hosts, co-hosts, and the Airbnb business are supported. Your success in this role will be based on a variety of metrics that reflect your impact to the business. This includes the level of growth, retention, and success of the hosting business in North America.
The ideal candidate is a strategic operator, analytical, strong content development skills, adept at business planning for the long term while remaining nimble and adaptive to short term priorities. This includes relationship building and management within our host community.
