MMM Registered Nurse 

Location: This position will work onsite 5 days a week in a clinic located in PR-AIBONITO, PARQUE INDUSTRIAL CARR. PR- 725 KM. 0.5 BO. LLANOS.

Schedule: This position will work a 2nd Shift from 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Additional hours or days may be required based on operational needs.

The MMM Registered Nurse provides nursing services for patient care in the company working closely with doctors, specialists and other care team members or providers to obtain the highest quality of care.

How you will make an impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Under medical supervision, assist physicians in the delivery of healthcare services; Responsible to collect patient information from the entrance, support patient evaluation and administering treatments, medications , text, exams or education as needed.
  • Collaboration with Physicians at the clinic and other health care professionals is also required.
  • Assist patients to complete medical history forms and prepares patients for examination and treatment by physician.
  • Perform triage on patient asking patients questions about current symptoms, medical histories, and medications to provide doctors with a complete understanding of a patient’s current medical needs and background.
  • Identify patient’s chief complaint and records pertinent information in patient’s permanent medical record.
  • Identify gaps in care; provide education to patient and caregiver on importance to close the gaps.
  • Conduct preliminary tests such as blood pressure and respiratory checks vital signs, measurements as height and weight and records them in the EMH – structure data.
  • Conduct tests and procedures as directed, such as EKG’s, non-stress tests, spirometer, venipuncture, skin punctures, strep screen, glucometer, and urine tests.
  • Assists doctors with develop treatment plans and strategies according with screening or and assessments such as, clinical procedures, preventive care), referrals and care coordination.
  • Discuss treatment plans with multidisciplinary care team as applicable.
  • Provide direct care to patients, including administering medication or treatments as ordered by the physician. This may include ange the dressing on a wound, apply vaccines and topical treatments, or administer medication via intravenous methods or direct injection.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires BS Nursing and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience is desirable; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Puerto Rico.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
  • Registered at the Colegio de Profesionales de Enfermería de Puerto Rico.
  • For associates working within Puerto Rico who are member or patient facing either in a clinical setting or in the Best Transportation unit, a current PR health certificate and a current PR Law 300 certificate are required for this position.
