Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for assisting in the planning and organization of the warehouse operations.Job Description
Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Reports to: Regional Warehouse Supervisor
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm
Starting Hourly Pay: $19.50/hr + $2/hr role premium
Qualifications:
Coordinate carrier appointments for outbound deliveries, including containers, LTL and FTL shipments
Acts as primary point of contact for carriers arriving to shipping Dock.
Create outbound delivery paperwork in preparation for outbound shipments
Research customer non-compliance reports for all overages, shortages and damages
Create outbound transfer orders based on scheduled DDL run
All Orders as per SLA cut off must be printed on a timely manner.
Ability to Follow & Direct special instructions – on orders.
Confirm orders; create packing lists and bills of lading
Transact post goods issue transaction
Update carrier pro bill information in transfer order for tracking purposes
Transaction Product Status Change requests
Monitor shipping supplies and submit purchase requisitions for approval
Maintain files for shipping activities
Organizes, manages and supports warehouse in special projects as needed.
Oversees trailer seal log and verification process
Oversees completion of trailer safety inspections
Role is expected to work outside in various temperatures to manage yard Checks
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent Organization skills & ability to prioritize work.
Exceptional listening and problem resolution skills; strong organizational skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with dedication to meeting deadlines.
Intermediate level of skill in Word and Excel with a desire to learn additional software applications as needed to support and enhance departmental goals.
Strong knowledge of Medline customer care processes and procedural guidelines
SAP screens directly and indirectly related to warehouse management
An overall pro-active and open mind-set
A team player with a constructive approach to challenges & Ability to train others
Ability to work overtime as required
Preferred Requirements:
Previous warehouse shipping experience.
SAP knowledge.
The anticipated salary range for this position:
