About the position  

  • Are you excited to be very close with customers in different channels (eg. FoodService & Industrial), to understand their needs and leverage our current product portfolio and define future portfolio needs.

  • Are you excited to work closely with customers and chefs to explain our product benefits and maximize the impact of our products in the market? 
  • Are you excited to work on a broad product portfolio, across (plant) creams, butter & spreads and cheese

Please than read ahead: 

You support technical relationships with key customers and leverage our current product portfolio and support building insights to define the product needs for the future. You support creating insights from competitor analysis. You support building the selling stories for customers together with the commercial teams and chefs. You enable all the elements to land projects successfully with the customer in the markets (artwork, specs, customer data sheets, claims validation and registration etc.). You are the 1st point of contact for customer or SC issues & questions. You track customer complaints and drive resolutions. And execute post launch evaluation to support driving improvements. 

You work in cross functional teams, with marketing, chefs, SC etc. 

The role is based in Wageningen, in our great Upfield Food Science Centre. With State-of-the-Art pilotplants, labs and professional application kitchens. You report into the Commercialization Channels Manager for Europe. 

 

So, what does it take to be successful in this role? 

  • You have a broad experience across product categories 
  • You bring product and customer expertise 
  • You are data & system savvy    
  • You are a real Foody, that can explain the product benefits to customers. 
  • You enjoy trouble shooting and resolving customer or SC issues quickly 
  • You enjoy a dynamic environment, to always deliver the business opportunities with customers. 
  • You are a hands-on person, to deliver the projects via pilot plant- and factory etc.  
  • You work seamlessly with the international, cross functional teams.  

Key capabilities: 

Maybe you have worked in a similar role for the past 5-7 years. You have excellent communication skills in a cross functional business setting and have a technical background. Ideally you have experience in (plant) creams, butter & Spreads or cheese. You understand trends and needs of the market. You have a Bachelors’s degree in Food Science, Chemical engineering, or any other related field.

  • Expected travel ~10% 

 

What is your background? 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably Foods Technology, chemical engineering or equivalent.   
  • You have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in product development, technical sales etc.in FoodService, Industrial or Private label. 
  • You have practical knowledge of dairy and/or plantbased food science and technology,   
  • Fat-based and emulsion technology knowledge is considered a plus. 
  • You have a proven track-record of project delivery and successful relationships with customers  
  • You have a proven track record of successful teamworking across geographies and cultures.  
  • You love to work both with systems & data, while working hands-on. 
  • You have a self-steering, pro-active and can-do attitude. 
  • You have ability to deal with multiple complex projects and tasks. 
  • You have ability to work with other functions (e.g. Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, QA). 
  • You are a data savvy person, who loves to work with data and systems 
  • Fluent in English is a must.
