Job Description Summary

               

This position is responsible for the operation of the fryer, and related systems. The fryer operator has primary responsibility for product quality with regard to solids, color, and texture.

Job Description

The Fryer Operator is a member of the processing team. This position is accountable to the Process Lead, and Shift Manager.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the fryer area along with having the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. In addition the Fryer Operator is responsible for all of the equipment in the fryer area including the oil miser. The Fryer Operator is responsible performing free fatty acid tests, and maintaining and recording temperatures of all equipment in their work area, ensuring the correct oil usage for each product being produced, entering and changing data in the computer system, and sanitation for their work area. It is imperative that the Fryer Operator conduct themselves in a manner that ensures alertness and constant awareness to the safe operation of equipment and its surroundings.

The individual in this position must establish and maintain open communication and productive work relationships with the following teams: Q.A., Maintenance, Production, and other shift support personnel. The Fryer Operator must also establish and maintain effective relationships with each team member to provide direction and allow feedback. Positive work relationships and written and verbal communication are key ingredients for success of the individual holding this position.

Overtime requirements in this position are common and may be required to meet operational goals. Working a reasonable amount of overtime is a condition of accepting this position. The nature of this position requires that lunch and rest periods be adjusted to ft activities of the team and processing line.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate for this role is listed below.
