Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous interaction with different teams to maintain system stability and support business continuity through effective problem-solving and timely interventions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, document, and evolve data architectures across transactional, analytical, and real-time ecosystems.
Design data models, schemas, and database structures
Design and optimize data pipelines and integration flows (ETL/ELT), ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
Ensure compliance to Data NFR s throughout solution design
Ensure end-to-end data lineage, cross-system mappings, reference data harmonization, and robust data quality rules are embedded throughout solution design.

Professional & Technical Skills:
Core Data Architecture Skills
Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and design principles.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT and data integration tooling.
Familiarity with data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud storage architectures. AWS knowledge is expected.
Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
Understanding database security, governance frameworks, and compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to analyze complex datasets and generate meaningful visualizations.

Programming & Scripting
Experience with programming languages: Python, Java, and Scala.
Experience with scripting languages (Bash/PowerShell).

AI/GenAI Awareness

Understanding how to integrate AI capabilities into data architectures.
Ability to design pipelines that feed machine learning or GenAI systems.
Understand what is required to ensure our data is AI-Ready
Web & Application Ecosystem (Nice to Have)
Experience with web technologies (React, Node.js, PWAs, Web apps).
Understanding microservice-based architectures.
