The IT Cybersecurity Analyst I is Tier 1 analyst position that assists in efforts to ensure that Arbella’s information technology assets are appropriately secured. A core function of the Analyst I is to provide administrative support for the security controls employed by Arbella. This can include logical access administration, security systems administration, systems monitoring, security log reviews, process evaluation, writing security policy, or assisting in the deployment of security technology. It is the responsibility of the Analyst I to report on security metrics and performance indicators to highlight and communicate opportunities for improvement in Arbella’s security framework. This will include enhancements to Information Security policies, standards, and guidelines. This individual will work with teams across the entire IT organization. The Analyst will assist in efforts which promote IT Security awareness and help drive actions to improve Arbella’s Security Posture.
This position typically reports administratively to an IT Team Manager or above. The IT Security Analyst I requires general supervision and mentoring but is able to complete most tasks with relative independence. The IT Security Analyst I can be assigned tasks or components in support of larger information technology efforts. They must demonstrate effective organization, execution, and self-starting skills. Decision making authority is limited to general support decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for a Security Analyst I is to assist in administration of security controls to ensure compliance with current security policies and standards
- Continued learning and development of expertise in the field of Information Security to assist in ensuring that Arbella's IT Security practice remains appropriately aligned with industry trends
- Assist in the creation, publication, and update of security policies, standards, and guidelines as needed
- Assist in incident management and remediation activities
- Help coordinate and compile thorough documentation and remediation of security incidents
- Assist in Information Security's partnership with IT and business units to identify gaps in security policies and standards, and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Work to understand and monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities; assist Information Security with efforts to partner with IT teams to identify and evaluate technology enhancements including perimeter and internal protection tools and practices
- Provide recommendations that are aligned with industry best practice and Arbella business need
Our current reasonable and good faith estimate of the annual salary or hourly wage range for this position is approximately $70,000 - $76,000 based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, educational background and certifications, performance and qualifications, market demand for the role and other organizational needs.
