Job Summary

The Annual Giving Officer, Athletics & Student Life will support Endicott College’s annual giving efforts by focusing on philanthropic engagement across the College’s athletics programs and student life initiatives. This role is responsible for executing targeted outreach strategies, managing team-based and group fundraising efforts, and driving participation through compelling, impact-driven messaging. The Officer will play a key role in building a broad base of donor support by engaging alumni, families, and friends connected to athletics and student organizations.

Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, this position is ideal for a highly organized, collaborative, and energetic professional who enjoys relationship-building, writing, and executing campaigns

Key Outcomes

70% Athletics Annual Giving Management

  • Partner with coaches and athletics staff to plan and implement fundraising strategies for varsity teams and club sports
  • Manage team-based fundraising efforts, including outreach to alumni, parents, and supporters of athletics programs
  • Support athletics-focused crowdfunding and giving day initiatives
  • Serve as the primary lead for athletics participation in Giving Day, including coordinating team outreach, developing sport-specific goals, and driving competition and engagement across teams
  • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward athletic donors.
  • Track and report on donor progress, analyzing data to inform strategic decision-making.

15% Execute student life annual giving strategies

  • Provide support for fundraising strategies for student organizations, with a focus on crowdfunding and group-based fundraising
  • Partner with Student Life staff and student leaders to build and support individual club and organization fundraising efforts
  • Support participation in Giving Day and other key campaigns

10% of Time: Support campaigns and events

  • Support special events, donor recognition activities, and other initiatives to engage and retain annual donors.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of annual appeals, giving days, and targeted mini-campaigns
  • Partner with athletics and student life teams to integrate fundraising into events and key moments throughout the year

5% of Time: Team Collaboration and Support

  • Work closely with the Director, individual gift officers, and campus partners to align efforts with the College's initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings to provide updates and ensure effective communication across departments.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Advancement Office's overall mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, athletics, student life, or related field
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft persuasive cases for support, proposals, and reports.
  • Interest in athletics is preferred
  • Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, database and project management software, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills are critical, with comfort in public speaking. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly understand and remember details about donors and projects.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive material confidentially.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while being flexible to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain multiple strong, long-term relationships.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and build new processes or programs
  • Evening and weekend work will be required throughout the year. 

In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $60,000-65,000. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and external market data when extending an offer. The final salary is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or other compensation.
