Key Responsibilities

Strategic Legal Leadership

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to regional business presidents, functional leaders, and operational teams.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of department strategic priorities.
• Anticipate legal and regulatory trends; translate insights into proactive strategies that protect and enable business growth.
• Provide guidance on commercial strategy, market entry, product launches, partnerships, and innovation initiatives.
• Ensure regional legal governance aligns with global corporate policies and enterprise risk frameworks.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

• Oversee adherence to all applicable regulatory domains, including employment law, commercial law, antitrust, competition, privacy, trade controls, and environmental regulations.
• Partner with Compliance, Internal Audit, and HR on ethics, code of conduct, third‑party risk, and investigative processes.
• Represent the region on enterprise compliance committees and risk‑management bodies.

Commercial & Contracting Support

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and review of complex and high‑value commercial contracts.
• Provide legal guidance on commercial models, pricing strategies, customer agreements, supplier contracts, and partnership frameworks.

Litigation & Dispute Management

• Manage regional litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations in coordination with corporate litigation COEs and external counsel.
• Assess litigation exposure and drive risk‑mitigation strategies.

External Counsel & Budget Management

• Select, manage, and evaluate external counsel performance to ensure efficiency, value, and quality.
• Oversee regional legal budgets and contribute to enterprise cost‑management initiatives.

Leadership & Team Development

• Contribute to the development and implementation of department’s talent management and employee engagement priorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop regional legal professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, business partnership, accountability, and collaboration.
• Build strong cross‑functional relationships across a complex, matrixed organization.

Corporate Governance

• Support governance activities for regional legal entities, including board documentation, filings, and legal‑entity management activities.
