This position plays an important role in the successful delivery of the Vitality product by building high-quality React Native applications and contributing to the overall mobile architecture. The role collaborates closely with designers and cross-functional teams to ensure thoughtful, feasible and user-centric solutions. As a senior engineer, this position supports delivery through code reviews, technical guidance and structured production support, helping maintain strong engineering standards and reliable product releases.

The Position

Responsibilities

1) Mobile Application Development

· Develop, maintain, and optimize high-quality hybrid applications such as React Native, and native modules for iOS and Android.

· Implement scalable, modular, and maintainable code following best engineering practices.

· Work closely with UI/UX designers during the design phase to provide frontend feasibility guidance and ensure alignment between design and implementation.

· As a senior, proactively guide and coach junior developers to uplift team capability and foster a culture of technical excellence.

· Conduct thorough code reviews to sustain code quality, ensure adherence to standards, and drive continual improvement across the team.

2) Agile Delivery & SDLC Practices

· Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives and demos.

· Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including design reviews, technical documentation, peer code reviews and test planning.

3) Mobile DevOps, Security & Release Management

· Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines for mobile delivery, ensuring automated testing, build stability and efficient deployment processes.

· Ensure secure coding practices, adherence to compliance requirements and timely incorporation of security fixes.

· Partner with the release manager to plan, coordinate and execute app releases across environments and app stores.

4) Production Support & Incident Handling

· Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime and ensure best-in-class user experience.

· Conduct structured root-cause analyses, provide fixes or workarounds, and participate in post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

Experience and Qualifications

· Over 4+ years of hands-on experience in mobile application development, with a strong focus on React Native and delivering production-grade mobile applications at scale.

· Demonstrated success in working within Agile delivery environment, highly collaborate and contribution across the SDLC including design, development, testing, release and post-production support.

· Proven experience in mobile frontend development including applying design, API integration, mobile architecture changes and best practice in mobile.

· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or relevant) strongly preferred.
