This is a full-time in-person role based in Hong Kong, China.

What are the core responsibilities in this role?

  • Collaborate with different business unit to develop data-drive solutions
  • Understanding and quantifying the economic value propositions that brands face in advertising in the ecommerce marketplace
  • Coordinating advertising tech strategies with product, tech, and advertising teams as well as diving deep into the data and models looking for continual improvements and creating new technologies
  • Develop advanced predictive models to optimize business strategies and improve business performance
  • Conduct advanced quantitative analyses facilitating effective targeting, segmentation, and identification of opportunities around cross-sell / up-sell, retention, and marketing program optimization, operational efficiencies
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets to uncover actionable insights and trends that can be used to optimize marketing strategies, enhance customer experience and improve overall business performance and ROI
  • Leading other data scientists and data engineers to tackle ecommerce advertising and deliver value for one of the largest ecommerce brand budgets in the world

What are the requirements?

  • Master's degree from a global top-tier program focused on data science, statistics, or similar
  • Multiple years of experience and extensive understanding scaling advertising technology concepts, strategies, and opportunities through the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence within the ecommerce industry
  • Experience with diverse ecommerce advertising channels (search, marketplace, etc)
  • Expertise in building predictive and causal models individually and within a team
  • Extensive experience in modeling and data languages such as Python, SQL, etc.
  • Experience scaling data and models within machine learning operations
  • Fluent in English

What is the team like?

You will work directly with members of senior management and Engineering. You will collaborate and lead data scientists in other countries.
